Steve Brisk, Founder & Deputy Chairman of Speakeasier at 1500
feet and travelling at 120mph on the Speakeasier "Multiple Tandem
Parachute Jump" April 2006, when 48 jumpers raised over £20,000 for Speakeasier.
Enjoy the experience of your life by volunteering for
this year's sponsored multiple tandem parachute jump on 2nd August 2008, to raise funds for
Speakeasier. In tandem with
an experienced professional parachutist you will enjoy the experience of
freefalling from 12,000 feet, then descend slowly to mother earth beneath
the canopy of your multi-coloured parachute. An experience and delight like
no other.

On 30th December 2007 Alderton Village Football Club held their Annual Charity
Football Match. Each year they donate the proceeds to a different charity. The nominated charity
for 2007 was Speakeasier and the event raised over £5000!
Alderton is a small village (Population 470) near Tewkesbury where the Village
Football Club holds an Annual Charity match Marrieds V Singles. More than 100 villagers turned out
to cheer their favoured team. The result of the "clash" was 3/2 to the "Marrieds" and over £5000
to Speakeasier!
Steve Brisk, Founder & Deputy Chairman of Speakeasier, who attended the match
said "There was a fantastic Village atmosphere both on the pitch and at the pub afterwards!" He went on to
say that the match was incredibly well organised with fines, for instance, for playing without a beard,
a raffle with a star prize of a pair of Man U. tickets, and people paying to nominate their "man of the match",
all going to help Speakeasier to help no less than five more clients:-
Claire from Swindon (£800 for a computer based speech aid), Sue from Essex
(£200 for an amplifier), Sally from Sussex (£1200 for a Possum communication package), Paul
from London (£1800 for a speech aid which plays pre-recorded messages, and Wendy from London (£1200,
also for a Possum communication package).
All these clients have given their enthusiastic thanks, and typical of their comments was
Sally's "It's a lifeline!".
What a fantastic effort, what a result!! Thank you so much Alderton Village Football Club.
