Applying for funding for a speech aid

Speakeasier accepts referrals only from Registered Speech & Language Therapists following an assessment of their client’s needs. The aids remain the property of Speakeasier and clients will be required to sign a loan agreement. The equipment will be on a permanent loan to that client and Speakeasier will take responsibility for the equipment, insuring it and repairing it if necessary, when advised by yourself or the client.

In order to arrange for funding for a communication aid from Speakeasier, please follow the steps outlined below.

• Leave message, including when it is best to try to contact you.
• Speakeasier will get back to you to confirm current funding situation and send you an application form to complete.
• On receipt of the signed application form from you, we will notify you when the equipment is ordered and tell you when you are likely to receive it.
• We will send the new equipment to you and ask that you work with your client to ensure they fully understand how to use it.
• Speakeasier is also committed to ongoing support. Should your client’s needs change as their ability decreases we will exchange it for a more appropriate aid after your re-assessment.
