Your donation can return the gift of speech

Since 2001, Steve and his team of volunteers have worked tirelessly to raise funds to be able to provide suitable speech aids for people with MS throughout the UK. The charity is run entirely by volunteers, many of whom have multiple sclerosis themselves, and is managed by a Board of Trustees so every penny raised continues the charity’s vital work. Speakeasier’s role is to supply speech aids to people with impaired speech due to MS. Although based in Cheltenham, we operate on a national basis.

Our funds come from a number of sources: our corporate supporters, charitable trusts, donations, an annual mass Skydive event and other fund raising activities.

“I implore you, whatever your usual company or personal criteria, to please help a person who has lost their speech due to MS and help return the gift of speech to them. MS can and does hit anybody. Sadly those MS sufferers who lose their speech are sometimes those whose MS is most virulent and their lives may be foreshortened. Inevitably, since Speakeasier was established, several of our clients have died. But at least we have the satisfaction of knowing that, due to our efforts, they did not die in silence with wishes not expressed and thoughts left unspoken. Speakeasier makes a real difference!
